Join the Flathead Lakers and Flathead Lake Biological Station at Science on Tap for a fun evening of Science & Nature, great Montana beer, and much needed camaraderie!

Presentation: “Reflections on a Lake” by Jim Elser, director of Flathead Lake Biological Station and UM Bierman Professor of Ecology.

Summary:‍ Jim will reflect on more than a decade of service and research at the Bio Station. This will be a Past, Present, Future, and Final State of the Lake exploring Flathead Lake from not only the scientific perspective, but also from the heart. Jim will discuss why Flathead Lake is so special, some of the threats it faces, and what we can do to protect its renowned water quality. With retirement on the horizon, come help us celebrate Jim's time at FLBS and send him off on his next adventure with lots of well wishes!
