Join us for Science on Tap on Thursday, February 1 at 6:30 pm. February’s speaker will be Beth Mendelsohn with the Owl Research Institute. Her talk will be on "Montana’s Hidden Owls: Three Decades of Research and Discovery."
Did you know that Montana has more species of owl than any other state? The Owl Research Institute is based out of Charlo, Montana and has been dedicated to studying these elusive birds since 1988. Beth Mendelsohn has been an owl and raptor researcher for over 10 years. Her work incorporates extensive field work with conservation, genetics, and outreach. She will share some interesting results and observations on the owls right here in the Mission Valley and surrounding areas, and talk about how you can get involved.
Tickets are $5 a person.
Presentations start at 6:30 pm at the Flathead Lake Brewing Company.
Please note: No food will be available downstairs in the Cellar, please come early and eat upstairs prior to the presentation.
